The Idea


So obviously I made a game. It's about delivering a package, it's currently less of a game and more of a mishmash of features I wanted to explore, but I think I've learned a lot from it. Coming into this game I wanted to experiment more with features than my last game attempt, my last game was focused on making a story, or a reason to play the game. Coming into this I wanted to play around with two things, animated obstacles, and the character. Specifically I wanted to mess with how the character is perceived, I didn't have as much time to work on that as I had anticipated but, I did figure out how to make a single powerup for the character, letting them jump. My original plan had been to have 3 powerups, a jump, a short dash, and a sprint. Unfortunately as I mentioned I only had time for one however, since I did figure out how to do that one I could probably add more to the game at a later date with these additions, possibly by making separate levels where you would keep the powerup from the previous one  thereby allowing me to use my method for powerups. The reason this is necessary is that my method of obtaining the power ups relies on my respawn system, basically picking up a power kills you doing a specific amount of damage, the respawn is on a branch that registers if that amount of damage was done, if it is it respawns you as the character controller with the powerup, who can in turn only respawn as themselves.
